You Only Retire Once

What’s the most significant demographic event that happened today? Some 10,000 baby boomers retired ... with millions more to come! You Only Retire Once is a resource for retirees and those thinking about retirement. Tom Sightings produces Sightings Over Sixty, a popular blog that covers “health, finance, retirement, grown-up children and . . . how time flies.” He has now collected the best and brightest of the posts and put them together with his most-relevant columns from U. S. News Retirement. They have been adapted, updated and organized into ten categories focused on retirement. Sightings covers core retirement concerns, from managing your money to taking care of your health. He also asks: Do you really think you can retire early? Should you help your grown-up children? Will Social Security be there for you? What are the pros and cons of long-term health insurance? Can you prevent Alzheimer’s? Are you supposed to die at 75? And ... why you should never say you’re old. Says Sydney Lagier of Retirement: A Full-Time Job: "Sightings Over Sixty is my favorite blog. As a fellow retiree, I appreciate his often humorous take on retired life. And as a fellow writer I appreciate the wonderful writing."

I loved this book. You Only Retire Once is collection of Tom’s best blog posts from the past five years. He has a great writing style and sense of humor that makes every article a pleasure to read. The articles are packed with insights, statistics, and the latest research . . .  I figured that I would just read a few on the topics that interested me, but ended up reading the entire book. This was a good purchase . . . worth the money, but more importantly worth my time
