Emily Wakeman Cyr is a lifelong New Englander. She studied English and Education at Quinnipiac University and the University of Connecticut. She taught reading and writing in public schools before becoming a stay-at-home mom, a role that quickly transformed into stay-at-home writer. She and her husband and three children divide their time between their home in the woods of rural Connecticut and their home away from home on Cape Cod.
