Gerard Gardner was born and raised in New Hampshire and has lived in various parts of the U.S. including Hollywood, California and the San Francisco Bay area, as well as Chicago, Illinois and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Gardner’s first paying job was at age 12 and he has worked in over 40 professions since then in a variety of positions including sales and operations management. In the course of his career Gardner has had experience running six small businesses, later as a Resolutions Specialist for the FDIC, and as a corporate manager for banking giants JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, and Wells Fargo. Gardner also held executive titles as Assistant Vice President and Vice President for Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, and Home Savings of America.
He studied for his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at the University of Redlands and has served on several executive committees for a former Fortune 500 bank. Writing is Gardner’s third career in addition to more than 10 years in the steel industry and nearly 20 years in commercial and mortgage banking.
He currently holds California licenses as a real estate broker, a Life and Health insurance agent, and as a Property and Casualty agent.
Gardner began writing in the mid-1990s as a freelance writer for local newspapers, magazines and blogs. He currently has five projects which he plans to complete in the very near term, including the follow up to Diabetes: An Answer to My Prayer (just not the one I was looking for).
He is a father of three sons and currently resides in Southern California.
