'Publishers Weekly' Launches BookLife Services Directory

No matter where you are on your self-publishing journey, BookLife's Services Directory can help you find industry professionals and make your book the very best it can be.

Publishers Weekly today launched the BookLife Services Directory, a new service that connects indie authors with editorial and self-publishing services and professionals.

“The BookLife Services Directory is a great way for indie authors to connect with editors, cover designers, and a wide range of self-publishing experts,” says BookLife President Carl Pritzkat. “No matter where you are on your self-publishing journey, Services Directory can help you find industry professionals and make your book the very best it can be.”

Covering all aspects of the self-publishing process, the BookLife Services Directory lists companies and individuals providing services in 10 categories: editing; art and design; production; distribution; web design; social media; promotions and public relations; publishing; business; and agents.

“Whether you’re a proofreader or a designer, a copy editor or an agent, BookLife Services Directory can help you find new clients and advertise your services to the self-publishing community.” Pritzkat says.  “It’s free, easy to use, and a great way to grow your business.”

To create a free listing, users simply register at BookLife.com, create a services profile, and add any services they wish to list. Each listing includes contact information, services description, location, and a headshot or logo. Once completed, listings automatically appear in user-selected categories of the Services Directory. 

Additionally, service providers can be “endorsed” by satisfied customers, and users can promote their listings within categories via an Enhanced or Featured Listings.

An Enhanced Listing, which costs $5 per month, highlights a user’s company within its category, grabbing the eye of users browsing listings and helping them stand out from the crowd. With a Featured Listing ($25/month), a user’s company appears on the landing page for each category of Services Directory—and Featured Listings are automatically highlighted within relevant categories.
