Anne Catharine Blake is a freelance author and illustrator whose work reflects her rich Canadian and Southern American heritage, blending humor and cultural depth. Her illustrated books, poetry, and stories have earned international recognition and have been widely published and exhibited.

A selection of her papers is preserved in the de Grummond Children’s Literature Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi. She studied at Emily Carr University on Granville Island, BC, earned an MA from Syracuse University, and holds a terminal MFA from the University of Hartford. She currently serves as a professor of visual storytelling at Sessions College.
