I have been writing all my life, but did not publish a book until 2011. That book, A Lupus Handbook: These Are the Faces of Lupus, met with some favor, especially in the lupus community. In 2014 I began writing for Rhythm Prism Publishing, which is a small, Indie concern. Our focus is on books that are designed to have a positive influence on people's lives.
My professional background is in education so it was natural for me to include educational books in Rhythm Prism's catalog. Writing has played an important role in my life and I've seen it play a significant role in the lives of others, so it was natural for me to include books on writing in Rhythm Prism's catalog.
The books I write are for a wide spectrum of ages and abilities. Some of the books are intended to be used individually and some are appropriate for a workshop environment.
As I write this description of myself, my bio is changing. I am continuing to expand my areas of interest. Check back next year and see what I'm up to then.
A note on the profile picture: it is from a book, recently released, that I wrote and illustrated (Masks: A Hudson Valley Childhood). The picture is of me, at about the age of 11, as I stand on the fire escape of a Brooklyn, NY apartment.
