Adam Suerte was born and raised in South Brooklyn. He studied at The Art Students League, The High School of Music and Art and The Rhode Island School of Design. His works takes many forms including painting, tattooing, illustrating, graphic design and comic-making. In 1991 he founded the Urban Folk Art® artist collective. Tattooing since 1999, he opened Brooklyn tattoo in 2002. He continues to live in Brooklyn where he's raising his kids, tattoos out of Brooklyn Tattoo in Carroll Gardens and makes art out of his studio in Red Hook.
