Aimi Medina is the author of the memoir Being There, A Daughter’s Voice for Her Father’s Silence. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Florida International University in elementary education and is a certified art teacher. Her twenty-plus years of teaching include a focus on educating children in reading, writing, and visual arts. She enjoys nature through wildlife photography and watercolor painting. Her favorite subjects are Florida birds and mangrove trees. Aimi currently lives in Vero Beach, Florida, with her husband, Dave. They have two grown sons, Drew and Jonny.
