Alan Corcoran is an Irish endurance adventure athlete and charity fundraiser. Competing as an Irish international track and field athlete as a teenager, he switched to ultra-endurance at the age of 20, when his dad suffered a stroke. Alan Corcoran is an Irish endurance adventure athlete and charity fundraiser. Competing as an Irish international track and field athlete as a teenager, he switched to ultra-endurance at the age of 20, when his dad suffered a stroke. Alan has since fundraised 45,000 euros for stroke and cancer charities through his resilience challenges.
Alan became the first to run a lap of Ireland, running 35 marathons in 35 consecutive days. In 2021, he released his award-winning MARATHON MAN debut book about his running adventure.
Alan is also the first to swim the length of Ireland, a 500-kilometre sea swim, completing it on his second attempt. He is touring his award-winning UNSINKABLE documentary film to international film festivals from the 1st of May 2022 to the 1st of May 2023 and is excited about releasing his UNSINKABLE memoir.
