Alesa Bernat is a mother and speech-language pathologist at a rural public school. Bernat's poems explore themes of family, mental health, spirituality, and nature. Her poetry has been featured in Sad Girl Diaries, an Online Literary Magazine, in Volumes XVIII and XIX of The Black River Review, a Journal of Poetry, Prose, and Fine Arts as well as in ZPlatt, Plattsburgh State University College Literary Journal.
