Amber Lea Starfire is an author, editor, and creative writing teacher. Author of Not the Mother I Remember: A Memoir, Week by Week: A Year's Worth of Journaling Prompts & Meditations, and co-editor of the popular anthology, Times They Were A-Changing: Women Remember the '60s & '70s, Amber's creative nonfiction and poetry have also appeared in literary journals and anthologies. Amber earned her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of San Francisco and a Masters in Education from Stanford University, holds down a day job as corporate trainer and consultant, and teaches creative writing and journaling just for the love of it. She is a member of the California Writers Club, the National Association of Memoir Writers, and the International Association for Journal Writing.
