Arthur W Treloar is a retired Veterinary Surgeon who retains a fundamental attachment to all farm and domestic animals, and a belief in their secret sense of humour, which they occasionally like to share with us – apart from dogs, who simply want to warm our lives and make us laugh at all times. One day whilst admiring a flock of beautiful black and white sheep in a field, he realised that they were all staring back at him - almost as though they had a story to tell……. And it turned out that they did – a story about a frightened young ewe and a brave little dog, and about Rosie the Vet and some stolen biscuits…….
