Aruna Maharaj Lepore was born on the Caribbean island of Trinidad (and Tobago). She earned her MBA at the University of Florida, and her BBA and Art Minor at the University of Miami. Her life in the corporate world took a back seat when she became a dedicated mother to her two children. She now lives in Maryland with her husband and their two children. She recently discovered her passion for writing and illustrating children's books and is currently starting on her second. When she is not writing or painting illustrations, Aruna co-teaches at a nursery school, exercises, spends her time with her family and their two happy South African cats, and splices in a glass of wine with friends now and then.
