Retired judge of the Appeal division of the Family Court of Australia. During my career I also taught the writing of Reasons for judgment, as part of a team headed by Emeritus Professor (Alabama) James Raymond. Following retirement, I built on this background in reasoning to explore the neurobiology and cognitive science of human reasoning and the limitations caused by language and methods of logic.
