Carrie Wright-Christopher grew up on Long Island, New York where she began writing poetry and fictional stories at a young age. After receiving a master’s degree in library science from CUNY Queens College, she worked as a Youth Services librarian and during that time wrote book reviews for the School Library Journal. She later headed the Young Adult department, embracing the literature and her clientele as well, writing the initial draft of her first novel, A Lucky Turn , in her spare time. She received her second master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University and now aids individuals with developmental disabilities. She resides in rural upstate New York with her kindred mate, Dave, who continually helps her in her journey toward understanding the limitless potential of the human spirit and its inclination to teach us who we are and who we ultimately can become.
