Charles Walker Jr aka Poppa Chuck began writing about his life experiences while in Africa working with AIDS Orphans in 2010. He served as an Office Specialist and Manager in Hospitals and Medical Clinics for 17 years and as Peer Support Specialist working with Homeless men before retiring. He currently serves on Transition Projects Peer Advisory Committee, Portland's largest provider of Shelter Programs, resources, and services. Poppa Chuck lives the life of a Rogue Street Community Advocate spending countless hours serving, loving, and building relationships with Portland's Street-hearts, the outcasts of our world. He enjoys a full life with his daughters, grandkids, mother, and siblings.
