Christine was born in Yorkshire, the daughter of a coal miner. Educated at state schools until the age of sixteen, she left home to broaden her horizons. She graduated from the University of Essex with an Honours degree in Sociology going on to obtain an MBA from Teesside University some years later.  A long and boring career in Local Government followed where she spent much of her time dreaming of being somewhere else.

After giving birth to her daughter, Christine embarked on a writing career. To date she has written two books and a TV script.
