Christy Hui grew up in China, reading every martial arts novel she could lay her hands on and dreaming of becoming a martial arts warrior. After emigrating to America as a teenager, she became an award-winning children’s TV producer and writer. Her works include Xiaolin Chronicles and the Emmy-winning animated television series Xiaolin Showdown, produced by Warner Brothers Animation.
Christy loves creating, her parents who taught her the value of hard work, a shih tzu named Gizmo…and tea! In fact, she loves tea so much that she made 9 Dragons Tea, a film documenting the epic journey of how this drink changed the world. She currently lives with her husband in sunny Florida, exploring the great outdoors, drinking Gong Fu Cha, and writing children’s stories—every day is an adventure.
FLYING FILLIES: The Sky’s the Limit holds a special place in her heart. This book celebrates the WASPs—Women Airforce Service Pilots of WWII—timeless heroines who defended freedom with unflinching courage and showed the world that glass ceilings are made to be flown through!
