Danie Ellis is a writer, illustrator, and translator, author of Medei. The Ghosts of Thornhills. Danie’s love for fantasy and magic stories started at an early age while reading to her sister gruesome Russian fairytales, stories about sword fights in Neverland, and tales about witches, lions and magic worlds hidden in wardrobes. Danie has a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages and speaks four languages. When she’s not writing or reading, she’s binging way too many movies and series at two in the morning, buying lots of books while having still many unread ones at home, digital drawing and walking her dog, daydreaming about new magic places to bring to life.
