Daniel grew up in a small midwestern town. He served in VISTA  (the domestic Peace Corps), attended law school and a theological seminary, managed housing in New York City's toughest neighborhoods, and ran a couple of small, start-up companies. He's an avid hiker who, like Dylan Blake, the detective he writes about in No More Illusions, needs time in the woods. He is presently at work on two new Dylan Blake mysteries and several short stories, including the sequel to Lightning Srikes.
