Darby Hobbs – Spiritual Author, Artist – her passion is to create positive change in our world through ‘Story Art.’ www.darbyhobbs.com, #darbyhobbs22 (Instagram), darby@darbyhobbs.com
As a producer of children’s books, Darby focuses key messages on how to make the world a better place. The stories produced speak of love, peace, acceptance, hope, kindness, inclusion and so much more. Her sister, Karen Kishibay does all the illustrations in original watercolors, bringing her words to life! Darby’s purpose in writing is to move the reader on an exploration of their soul. Her books are clearly for all ages!
The characters and the places they inhabit are both unique and imaginative – nothing out of the ordinary. The love continues at the end of each book, encouraging the reader to manifest their own Magic, Imagination, and Creativity within their hearts. Allowing the reader to see how the designs of their life are impactful for all of us.
Darby’s words are written from her heart. Her tremendous imagination whips words into magic that allow the reader to see life from a different perspective. In her stories, she shares how finding one’s purpose is so important, being seen truly for who you are and what beauty you bring to the world, applying this into your decisions as you grow and learn and making a difference by what you value - in effect to Color the World in LoveTM.
Her first book, Hockey Island, was published in 2019, which is about a magical island where it snows all day long every day and to live there you must bring your imagination! Her second book, The Tail of Grace & Kristoff, was published in 2022 and it shares the love and friendship between a musical unicorn and a pig. An unlikely pair, but their story unfolds and their bond strengthens as the story grows.
Darby’s current book is Color the World in LoveTM, a book for all ages, written with 40 scholars from around the world, Darby is asking for youth to submit illustrations, so if interested, please contact Darby to learn more about this great opportunity, darby@darbyhobbs.com, www.darbyhobbs.com.
