My education includes an Associate’s degree of Electrical Engineering, from SUNY at Morrisville, New York. My father was in electronics, so I started learning electronics when I was 9 years old. I studied electronics in high school. Our school at the time was trying to save money but increase the amount of test equipment they had, they bought several test equipment kits. I assembled an oscilloscope kit, this was a challenge but I was proud when it was done and worked correctly. After graduating from High school I was able to land a job in a TV shop, this gave me a lot of hands on experience. I then joined the U.S. Air Force and received additional training on broadcast equipment. When I left the Air Force, I accepted a job with a company that designed and installed TV studios, media systems, CCTV and sound systems. After 20 years, I changed jobs to a company that did CCTV, card access, security systems, fire, nurse call, media systems, broadband TV and sound systems. With both companies I did system design, programming, and testing. I was sent to many manufactures schools for additional training. As well I have built wired and wireless remote control systems. I was a mentor with the local high school’s robotics program in the 1990’s. Thus I have had a lot of hands on experience.
