Dr. David David is the Director General (DG) of Nigerian Books of Record Research Institute, Abuja, the sole researcher of NIGERIAN BOOKS OF RECORD, an Official Book of Record of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, conceived to promote, project and drive 'Change Begins With Me Campaign' of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Abuja.
The Institute also researches authoritative reference such as World Books of Record, African Books of Record etc. Nigerian Books of Record is edited and updated by Dr. David David every five years and is used as reference material for students and lectures in all Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education. In 2018, the Institute inspired a movement to end child labor through the READS Campaign.
Dr. David was born 26 December 1984 in his hometown, Akai Ubium in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom State. He attended Salvation Army Schools, Akai Ubuim for his primary and secondary education respectively, before sailing out of his little community for further studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the prestigious Shield of Faith University, an affiliate of California State University, USA. He is a Fellow of several Professional Institutes.
He was a former Editor of Education Excellence Newspaper, Record Breakers Intl. Magazine and Record Breakers Newspaper. He was also the Editor-in-Chief of one of the world most celebrated Pan-African Charity Journal, Healing Word and the Chief Editor of the Priceless Jewel, a journal that addresses social responsibility in Africa.
Dr. David David is summed up as a Poet, Play writer, Editor, Essayist and Novelist (PEN). A writer who wears three different writing hats; theatrical Arts, Radio and Television and has won many awards in these regards. As a poet, his poems pave ways through the minds and sub-conscious of the 21st century people, seeking redress against injustice and other social maladies that trouble the common person.
As a prolific novelist, some of David David's short stories and novels are currently in use in schools and colleges with over fifteen titles in circulation in West African States.
Ever since his brainchild, Nigerian Books of Record (a book of a thousand five hundred pages, written to launder the international image of Nigeria) was published; David David has been described as Nigeria's first image-reform activist by the Recordbreakers.
He is the Convener of the Nigerian Image Revolution (NIR); a coalition of pro-democracy group and individuals with a clear mandate to launder the poor international image of Nigeria thought celebration of Nigeria's best, promotion of political knowledge and participation of the Nigerian citizens in governance. He is one of the few championing the cause for a new Nigeria and the reformation of the black image as a whole.
