David Heaney is the author of THE BLACK FOX OF BECKHAM, published in 2019 and A YORKIE’S TALE: LESSONS FROM A LIFE WELL-LIVED, published in 2017, and NATHANIEL'S GOT THE BLUES, scheduled for publication in September 2020. He also writes short stories and poetry. Prior to embracing the writing life, his professional life focused on assisting individuals and organizations pursuing their own transformational path. He has served as a parish minister, psychotherapist, teacher, and senior executive with a large private government services firm. Storytelling has always been a key component of his approach to leadership.
David attended and received degrees from SUNY College at Purchase, Yale University Divinity School, and the University of San Diego. David has traveled widely and lived in the UK, Israel, and San Diego California the setting for A YORKIE’S TALE.
He now lives with his wife and their three dogs in St. Louis, MO where his wife is Vice Chancellor of Advancement for Wash U. Medical School.
