David was born into a military family, and spent much of his youth frequently moving from one military base to the next, including spending three years on the island of Okinawa, Japan. This exposure to eastern philosophy and culture at such an early age had a significant impact on him, eventually leading him to meditation and yoga. He served fifteen years in the US Marine Corps, participating in Operations Desert Storm and Restore Hope. David left active duty in 2006, and went to work for a Fortune 500 company. In 2017, he fulfilled a lifelong dream, publishing his first book, Whiskey and Yoga: Find Your Purpose. David's most recent book, Love Letters to the Virgin Mary: The Resurrection of King David is available now. He currently lives just outside Raleigh, North Carolina.
