Dr. Debbie Salinger, author of "God's Match: How to Ignite a Fire in Your Church," embarked on a transformative journey from Jamaica to New York City at just 16. She earned multiple degrees from Brooklyn College and Asbury Theological Seminary and culminated her academic pursuits with a Doctor of Ministry from Portland Seminary. With over two decades in corporate management within the technology sector, Debbie transitioned to her true calling as a United Methodist Ordained Elder in the Florida Conference, currently serving as Senior Pastor at St. Paul UMC in Jacksonville.
Known for her passion for the marginalized, Debbie leads initiatives reflecting her spiritual gifts, including shepherding, teaching, exhortation, discernment, and missionary work. A sought-after speaker for ecumenical services and revivals, she inspires through her faith and leadership.
Married for 38 years and a mother of three, Debbie enjoys life's simple pleasures, from beach strolls to exploring diverse cultures. Her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 3:14, encapsulates her life’s mission: "I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."
Dr. Salinger's work, including her latest book, calls for a return to Spirit-led church life, urging believers to reignite their faith and communal worship through the Holy Spirit’s transformative power.
