I, Deborah Dennis, am a real estate developer with over 30 years of experience. I have held a real estate license since January 2008 and maintain certification as a Texas Affordable Housing Specialist, a Financial Literacy Coach, and a Home Buyer Counselor and Educator. I have been on the leading edge of the effort to provide decent and affordable housing in underserved communities. During my tenure, I built the Enchanted Villas Subdivision. The Dallas Morning News featured the development on its Business Section's front page. I received the 2000 Quest for Success Award.
I am the author of Amazing Faith and The Road to Credit Repair. Per the reviews, Amazing Faith is beautifully written and very engaging. It is a love story, a mystery, a commentary on society, and a practical guide to navigating the worlds of finance and real estate. Above all, it is a parable testifying to the power of prayer, belief, and personal vision. Through my book, The Road to Credit Repair, I enlighten readers on improving their credit scores and becoming creditworthy to position themselves for property ownership.
I am a grant writer. I have written grants to build houses for seniors and single mothers who would have had a slim chance of becoming homeowners without my assistance. Moreover, through grant funding, I have housed young adults, who aged out of foster care, to train them to live a sustainable and independent lifestyle outside of foster care.
I hold a master's in Computer Science from Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas, and a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Rice University in Houston, TX. I am the president and CEO of the WREM Literacy Group, Inc., a bona fide nonprofit whose mission is to provide decent and affordable housing in underserved communities.
I reside in Dallas, Texas, with my husband, two girls, and four grandchildren.
My websites are amazingfaithstory.com and wremliteracy.org.
