I think it was when I was about 3 years old and I was read Charlotte’s Web. That was the inevitable moment I discovered stories were just about the most important thing one could do with a life, but it still took years of growing up for me to really admit it to myself. I can say that I started writing when I was very young, but not on purpose. Stories were, simply, the best ways for poor kids to play with sticks and make it into something meaningful. My background is in Film and Television and I went to school for music, but deep down I'll always be a wandering storyteller who can't seem to stop playing make-believe with sticks.
