Dimitra Doumpioti is an accredited trainer and supervisor in psychotherapy, and an academic collaborator at ESADE Business School of Barcelona. She obtained her BSc (Honors) in Psychology from the University of Manchester (UK). As soon as she completed her studies, she was hired as a research assistant at the Department of Developmental Psychology, in conjunction with the Max Planck Institute (Leipzig, Germany), under professors Elena Lieven and Michael Tomasello. Simultaneous to this, she obtained a postgraduate degree in transpersonal psychology at Liverpool’s John Moores University.

In 2000 she relocated to Barcelona initiating four year master’s program in systemic relational therapy at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. A few years later she founded Hestía, an international psychotherapy center offering services in multiple languages. Hestía soon became an institution of reference in the city of Barcelona and is now a licensed systemic-relational psychotherapy school.
