I was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada in a loving, church-going family. There were thirteen of us children and I was the sixth daughter after five sisters. The boys came after me. I was very shy, introverted child. I felt lonely and wondered if I belonged anywhere. One night I climbed up to the top of a small hill on our property. As I lay there and looked up into the night sky, I was thrilled with what I saw. I was six or seven at the time but it had a lasting effect on me. There, in the night sky, there were billions of brilliant stars twinkling just for me, I thought. I knew then that God loved me because He had created all that beauty for me and yes, for all the children like me. Because of that experience I know I am loved, not only by ny family, but God and his Precious Son.
