I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee and a product of the former Memphis City Schools. I am an alumni of Watkins Overton High School and was an active member of the award winning Overton Drama Department. Upon graduating I went on to attend Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. After, receiving my BA in Mass Communication in 2007, I decided move into education. I obtained my M.Ed. from Strayer University in 2010 with a concentration in Leadership. Continuing to further my education, I completed the Teacher Education at Union University. Currently, I am in my final classes at Freed Hardeman University pursuing an Education Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision. I have been in the field on education since 2008 Therefore, having the privilege to enlighten next generation with knowledge brings my heart joy. That is how writing developed in me. I wanted to encourage my students. It is my goal to continue writing and be an encouragement to not just my students, but anyone who decides to read my work. God Bless you.
