Douglass Hoover was raised in a small Maine town.  On his eighteenth birthday, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps infantry.  Over the next four years, he served in 1st Battalion 9th Marines in a variety of locations, including Africa, Jordan, and Helmand Province, Afghanistan.  After receiving an honorable discharge in 2012, he attended the University of Massachusetts in Boston where he recently earned a bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Anthropology.  Mr. Hoover currently resides on Cape Cod with his beautiful girlfriend and their two rescue pit bulls, Bug and Skootcha Nunchuck Monsterface.
