Born into a bicultural family (Mexican/German-American), Edward Myers grew up in Colorado, Mexico, and Peru. He attended Grinnell College and the University of Denver, after which he has worked in a wide variety of professions and trades -- inpatient health care, emergency medical services, cabinetmaking, and freelance writing. He currently live in central Vermont.
Edward Myers is the author of forty-two published books, most issued by mainstream companies, among them four novels (The Mountain Made of Light, Fire and Ice, The Summit, and Last Things); fourteen children’s books; and a well-received, much-reprinted book about bereavement, When Parents Die: A Guide for Adults. Among his publications are over a dozen books that Myers either co-authored or ghostwrote for clients and other authors.
