I was born in New Hampshire, lived for many years in Santa Paula, California, and currently live in Tucson, Arizona. I'm a dedicated mother, wife, businessperson, and instructor, I became an avid volunteer in Ventura County, California. I've served as a board director for the nonprofits Diabetes Explorer Educational Foundation, Inc. and Grants to You. I also volunteered for the latter nonprofit as an instructor and Ventura County Director.
In 2012, I founded Teaching Life Choices, Inc., a nonprofit devoted to captivating and engaging the minds of youth to learn, have fun, and make good life choices. I am the author of Does Diabetes Mean You Die published for young elementary students, G-R-E-E-N-E is my debut middle-grade book. Both books strive to inspire a greater sense of empathy and awareness, a mission of my nonprofit.
