Gary Moore was originally a professional dancer with the San Francisco Ballet, the Harkness Ballet of New York, Pennsylvania Ballet, Virginia Ballet, and Ballet Classico de Bellas Artes. He holds a degree in Practical Theology from Christ for the Nations Institute (Dallas, TX), a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from Faulkner University (Montgomery, AL), and a Master of Education degree from Lesley University (Cambridge, MA.)
As an educator for twenty five years, his work garnered numerous national and international awards that include USA Today’s All-USA Team Teacher Award, Toyota’s International Teacher Fellowship, Disney’s American Teacher Awards (Performing Arts Honoree), National Dance Educator of the Year Honoree (National Dance Association), and the Council for Basic Education/National Endowment for the Arts Arts in Education Fellowship. He was featured in the book “Minds Alive – Teachers as Scholars,” Pointe Magazine (July/August, 2006) and, in the October 2009 issue of Dance Teacher Magazine.
Gary has numerous listings in Who’s Who of American Teachers, Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals, Biltmore’s Who’s Who among Executives and Professionals, and the Cambridge Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals. He has served as an educational consultant for many organizations that include the Disney Learning Organization, and Harvard Project Zero. Gary was also featured on the Disney Channel’s “The Disney Channel Salutes the American Teacher,” and as a Technical Advisor to the classic Tim Burton film, Big Fish.

Gary and his wife Linda are members of the Rocky Mountain Bible Church of Frisco, Colorado, and live in Frisco. They are the proud parents of Christian, Andrew, and Luke, with daughter in laws Denice, Caroline, and Jenny, and the ridiculously proud grandparents of Riley, Spencer, Stern, Drew, Larkin, and Charlotte.
