George Brock Scott was born in Stuart, Florida and is the great-nephew of international best selling author Lawrence Schoonover. He attended Guilford College and graduated from Appalachian State University with a cum laude degree in Communications with concentrations in Broadcasting and Theater.

Past literary work includes writing, designing and publishing a childhood memoir (1000 copies sold), designing and publishing four more books, and writing a feature-length screenplay.
