Geraldine Perry is an award-winning author whose books and articles focus on long term solutions to economic, health and environmental justice issues. She has a Master's Degree in Education and an undergraduate minor in Library Science, both of which have served her well in her writing and research. Her subsequent training as a Certified Natural Health Consultant led to an increased interest in agriculture and the environment, and ultimately to the need for systemic monetary reform. Decades of research over a wide variety of issues led to a truly holistic perspective not only in the overlapping spheres of health, agriculture and the environment but also with respect to the many social, political, and economic problems facing the world today. The scope and depth of her research has, in turn, provided Geri with a uniquely fresh perspective on complicated subjects, offering readers an opportunity to think anew about familiar issues and their most meaningful solutions. Geri's first book, The Two Faces of Money, co-authored with Ken Fousek, received acclaim from seasoned monetary reformers such as Charles Walters of Acres USA and Dick Distlehorst of the American Monetary Institute and Jack McGuire, of Boston. Her second book, Climate Change, Land Use and Monetary Policy: The New Trifecta won the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award in the category of Environment, an Indie Excellence Finalist Award (also category of Environment), an Eric Hoffer Book Award Honorable Mention in the category of Ebook Non-fiction and was an Award-winning Finalist for the 2015 USA Best Book Awards in the category of Social Change. Geri was born in Chicago and has lived in the Southwest Suburbs most of her life. For the past 15 years she has actively supported and is personally acquainted with the farmers who supply her and her locally engaged food community with some of the best, most nutrient dense food on the planet - while at the same time rebuilding the soil. In her spare time she enjoys reading, taking long walks or just relaxing with her furry friend AliCat, picking raspberries in summer and helping her husband stay healthy so he can run FAST and win medals.
