Short Biography of H. Lloyd Weston
H. Lloyd Weston was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He moved to the United States where he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and studied Creative Writing and English Literature under Dr. Charles Angoff, Professor Emeritus of English and former President of the Poetry Society of America. Dr. Angoff became his mentor. During his undergraduate years, Weston was chosen president of the Becton Society, an organization devoted to students majoring in English Literature. He was also chosen editor-in-chief of Prelude, the student literary magazine. He graduated with a B.A. degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. Weston, is a poet, an author of short stories and a visual artist.. His recently published book of poetry, The Many Silences of Love, was reviewed by the U S Review of Books and The Daily Gleaner, of Kingston, Jamaica and was awarded the coveted Gold Seal of Excellence by the publisher, Trafford Publishing. His paintings have been exhibited in many important galleries and museums worldwide. He is a member of the Academy of American Poets.
