H.P. Brown, a native of Forrest City, Arkansas, currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland. Born the seventh of thirteen siblings - he has learned the true meaning of wealth; family. His humble upbringing and compassion for life, has been the force that drives him to overcome any obstacle placed before him. As a teen, he was diagnosed with dyslexia and Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and saw a grim future ahead of him. Not allowing his learning disabilities and fears to control or dictate his future, H.P. conquered both of these challenges in his life by adopting the adage; “Life isn’t about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself.”
H.P. received a bachelor of science degree from Morgan State University, where he first formed his passion for writing. He later received a master of social work degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. An accomplished writer, he was published
in the 1997 Anthology Perceptions in Harmony. And has written countless inspirational poems that have received acclaimed recognition. In 2002, he embarked on his literary journey publishing his first novel.
Eli has allowed him to venture into a world where he could fuse his imagination with the love for his home town into a fictional mind-smoldering thriller. Drawing from his spiritual upbringing, he has opened a world filled with “what if…”
