Born and raised in New York City, Hugh O’Neill worked for 20 years in the publishing business, first as an editor at Doubleday and later, at Random House. His first book, Daddy Cool, led him to television where he wrote comedy and drama, including scripts for The Cosby Show, L.A Law, and thirtysomething. He has worked as a commentator for National Public Radio and in the magazine business, both as an editor and as a contributor. He has written three regular columns on family life and on subjects ranging from health and medicine to marriage and golf. He has written six books – five now available, and one coming soon.
