James S. McCreath has many stories to tell, but as an avid soccer fan and author of the forthcoming novel, Renaldo: A Tale of World Cup Soccer, Terrorism and Love [Scottish Laddie Publications, June 2018], believes in the unifying and transcendent power of sports - especially soccer - and its ability to inspire hope and provide an escape of every day struggles.
James S. McCreath is a Canadian descendant of Italian and Scottish immigrants. This lineage has given him a passion for life, and the fortitude to overcome the tragic events that compelled him to write this novel.
He became a soccer fan in 1966 when he traveled through Europe during the time that England was hosting (and eventually winning) the World Cup. His years in the sports and entertainment industries have afforded him a behind the scenes insight into the story’s major plot lines.
