Hello Readers! Welcome to my literary world. As I researched how to do this, all of my search results came up with the same answers: post your sales, post your reviews, post your awards, and drive people to buy your books. So, that's what I did. But, I was wrong. Sure, I have sold some books. I have even won some awards. But, even books that are not that good can do that. You see, I never told anyone why I wrote the book or the purpose for it. SO, let's try this again. My name is JD Wise and I am a children's book author. I did not set out to write books for kids, it just happened. When I was thirty- eight, I was diagnosed with a terminal illness. The chance that I would see my kids and your kids grow up was drastically reduced. But, with limited time, how could I inspire and encourage them? How could I help guide them through the problems of life. How could I still make a difference? As I was recovering from surgery, my four young children, brought to my side a box of crayons and a few sheets of paper. That is when the light bulb went off. I can write my love for them down in a book. I can tell my children and your children how very special they are. I can inspire children everywhere to be the best "YOU" that they can be. I can encourage a child to just be themselves... A year and a half later... A Child Called You was published! The smile of a child, after reading one of our literary creations , is the most prestigious award that I could ever receive. Thank you all so much, for investing in our books!
