JB Van Cleave was born and raised in Texas. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute and served as an Infantry Officer and Information Ops Officer in the U.S. Army. After leaving the service, JB gained teaching certifications in both mathematics and social studies. He ultimately landed his dream job, Stay-at-Home Dad for his wife and two children. He is currently training with his best friend, Jay Bird, to serve as a volunteer therapy dog team in the DFW area of Texas.
