Jerome Walford graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and honors in 1996. Since then, he has worked steadily within advertising as a versatile consultant able to deliver digital art in nearly any style - illustrating marketing campaigns for Lenox Hill Hospital, Yahoo!, Nair, Discovery Channel, and other well-known brands.
In 2012, Jerome launched Forward Comix, an indie publisher, which quickly became known for stories with evocative, relatable characters, and timely themes. Jerome is best known for his graphic novel series, "Nowhere Man", which has garnered three Glyph nominations, a Glyph Comics Award, the Urban Comics Award, and two "Best of the Year" nominations on ComicAttack. He has also been recognized by the Society of Illustrators and ImagineFX digital artist magazine.
Jerome's most recent project, “Gwan Anthology”, is a notable collection of art and stories, features immigrant and expat comic creators from around the world, sharing stories that shed light on the many aspects of the immigrant experience.
“Gwan Anthology” received a gold medal from the Independent Publisher Book Awards (for the category of Graphic Novel – Humor/Cartoon), was voted to the top five collections of 2016 on ComicAttack, and received two Glyph Comics Awards 2017 nominations (Best Cover and Best Artist).
