Jerry Masinton is a retired English professor from the University of Kansas. The author of Christopher Marlowe's Tragic Vision, JP Donleavy: The Style of His Sadness and Humor, and numerous articles on modern American literature, he also reviewed books for the Kansas City Star for several decades.
