About the author: Jesse Lee Vint III was born and raised in Tulsa. While at Oklahoma University he decided that the film business is where he should be, so he left to study acting. After over a hundred films and television shows he moved to Portland, Oregon – where he currently lives. Some of the characters he played were gunfighters during the Wild West era, such as “Tulsa Jack” and “Charlie Springer” – both of these were starring parts in films with James Garner. He played the outlaw “Bob Dalton” in the television movie “Belle Starr; a lead role as “Amos Calendar”, one of the original cowboys on the Goodnight trail in 1868 in Universal Studio’s epic mini-series based on James Michener’s classic novel, “Centennial”. Other cinematic cowboys were ”Slick Callahan” in “Bobby Jo and The Outlaw” – a film that he starred in with Lynda Carter that was released worldwide; “Jingo Johnson”, a modern day cowboy in the film “Black Oak Conspiracy” that was released worldwide; he was the Busch Beer cowboy in a commercial that ran nationally for eight years called, “Lone Cowboy”; as “Tex” in a “Matlock”, and as “Al ‘Cowboy’ Roberts” in twenty-five episodes of “One Life to Live”. He was the gunman known as “Turk” in the television series “Hart to Hart”. He also starred as “Insane Wayne”, the mercenary who tried to take out the “A-Team”. The name of the episode was “Insane Wayne”. Jesse worked with Sam Elliot and Cybil Shepherd on the western show, “Yellow Rose” as Matt Colby, the ranch hand; and as the rodeo cowboy “Tibby Tucker” in “The Incredible Hulk”. He played the outlaw, “Toby Harris” on a “Bonanza”, and the rancher “Tom Carson” in an episode of “Grimm”, and the Texas cattle rancher “Tommy Tacker” in the movie “Bug”. He starred as the outlaw “Cody Pierce” on a special two part episode of the television series, “Young Guns” filmed in Tucson. He played a trouble-shooting space cowboy twice, in futuristic films. The first was as “Andy Wolf” in the classic film “Silent Running”, and the second was as “Matt Colby” in “Forbidden World”. Both of these films played worldwide, and are still playing worldwide. Jesse Vint played one of the major characters in the epic film “Little Big Man” with Dustin Hoffman -- about ‘Custer’s last stand’, a film that he worked on for six months. Jesse Vint starred in the film MACON COUNTY LINE, which broke box office records throughout America and Europe. He won the World Celebrity Chess Tournament held at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles in 1988 and is still the reigning champion. He also played principal parts in the film classics, “Chinatown”, and “Earthquake.” Jesse votes on and attends the Academy Awards and the Emmy’s every year.
