Jessica McCann is a published historical novelist. Her debut book, All Different Kinds of Free, was awarded the 2009 Freedom in Fiction Prize; her second, Peculiar Savage Beauty, was named 2018 Arizona Book of the Year in the Arizona Authors Association literary contest. McCann has worked as a freelance journalist and editor for 30 years. Her work has been published in dozens of magazines, including Business Week, The Writer and Phoenix. She writes and speaks about the craft of fiction and creative nonfiction writing.
