I never set out to write a book that would be published. I wrote this story in response to a great need within my family. My 2 young grandsons were going through a very difficult period with sibling rivalry that was having a devastating effect on everyone in the family. All any parent or grandparent wants, is to see their children and grandchildren flourish and live in harmony and contentment within their environment; be that home or school or the wider community.
The situation caused me a great deal of anguish and it filled my thoughts for some time. I wanted to help turn the tide, but did not know how I could do this in a gentle non-threatening way, that did not undermine their self esteem or self worth. Finally, intuition and inspiration came to me to write this story, highlighting how the negative and highly volatile emotions, thoughts and actions affected the boys energy fields.
I used a Spirit Guide to give the lesson so that it was from an impartial source, and was imparted in such a way that there was no personal condemnation or blaming.
It is many years since this story was written. Both boys are happy well- adjusted teenagers with excellent self-esteem and self-confidence. Both are very happy with their identities, and never wish they were someone else. Alec has become passionate about Rugby League and won a scholarship to a private school because of his skill in this area. His brother is very happy in his high school and is looking towards a career in the IT world. Did the story help them? I do not know. It was the start of many stories that were written for them over a number of years and maybe…just maybe… they helped a little.
