I am a native Texan. Born in Austin, raised in the Dallas area, now happy to be back living in Georgetown, just north of Austin. Georgetown has been a great place to raise my son. It is 100% renewable energy driven, which pretty much says it all for this cool, small town in a very Republican state. Of course, Dallas was an interesting place to grow up. At sixteen, I was hawking popcorn in Texas Stadium and always making sure I turned in my tray in time to watch another Roger Staubach 4th Quarter comeback.
I am a single father who has always been focused on raising my son. Somewhere along the way, our two guy home acquired a foosball table, gaming systems, and even a home theatre room. I have four brothers and one nicely spoiled little sister. We are all close and family gatherings tend to land at my house because it is, well, just more fun.
When not beating the Texas heat in our hacienda, my son Kent and I are in the pool or on the golf course at our very old, very blue-collar, kid-friendly golf course. Georgetown Country Club is just a five-minute golf cart ride from our garage. It was established over ninety years ago, so is on prime real estate, with the course snaking in and out of a canyon and the San Gabriel river adding extra flavor to many of the fairways. My son pretty much grew up there, so we both have a deep, abiding love for the club, as well as the game.
I work even harder than I play, but that's what my book is about, so will leave stories from my two decades at Dell out of this bio. PS. I've been writing all my life, so my next book is already ready to go and it is VERY different from this one.
