John McLain is a former newspaper reporter, magazine editor and national media consultant to colleges and universities. After graduating from San Jose State, he worked for newspapers in San Diego, Sunnyvale, Sacramento and Florida.
Later he edited a monthly magazine in San Francisco. His short stories have appeared in Northern New England Review, Magnolia Leaf (Louisiana,) Fiction Forum (Los Angeles) and The Villager in New York.
His screenplay, based on his novel, THE ROAD TO REVEILLE, was a finalist in the international Writer’s Digest Screenwriting Competition. He lives on an island in Puget Sound, and is at work on another novel.
